Last days and “Lazy” Summer

Wow it has been crazy since I last posted. Since school ended on the 13th I have travelled to Fantasy Con as a vendor for our Shield-Shop and also as a Belegarth fighter in the arena. This experience was a whirlwind and a great opportunity to meet other artists. In addition to other PlastiDip and foam sculptors, there were leather artists, painters, blacksmiths, and performers of all kinds. I had the opportunity to tour Castillon Armory’s studio and we talked-shop and overall this was a great event.
I am still sorting through images and commissions from this experience and will post them in August, so I will leave you with my favorite end of the year photos from Art4Life:
Avery focused on completing one of our pastel murals.
Brianna struts her stuff on Improv day.
Castle drawing as part of a watercolor and resists project
The result of a pastel collaboration between myself and Donovan. All of the highlights and line details are his.
The kids enjoy the fountain in Portland.
Marcus hula hoops for the first time and masters the art of two hoops at once.
A great result from our line drawing projects. The Maplewood boys were all talented at this particular style.
Creative brainstorm collage with bird thumbnails we made for a group sculpture.
