My partner Seth and I have officially been in business at Plithacorn Productions for a little over a year. We started out just taking on more commissions for pieces he’s been doing for almost a decade, and now we have both expanded and specialized the shop; we offer more gear and custom items and sell almost exclusively to Belegarth and Amtgard customers. We didn’t plan on catering to this niche of a market, but man do we love what we get to do.

Two painted fabric shields, made 3 years apart,

I particularly enjoy the challenge of creating pieces that have to function under high-impact for the long term. Since we make armor, clothes, and equipment, all of our work sees combat time. Most sculpture is not made for this and so I am AMPED for our newest shop item, Plasti-dipped shields. Seth has come up with a great process and we’ve just started working on them, so I will update with more details soon. 🙂 For now, here is the tutorial I made that explains a part of the process.
